I'm a little sunbeam dancing through the day

I'm allowed until Dusk to gad about and play

I leave with mom...that's her up there

warming up the earth..

as she always has been doing ever since it's birth;

My dad's the moon, he's never home ,but what are you gonna do?

He's got the lonely night shift responsible for dew

dew's the thing that poets like...they write about it oft

it makes a mess for mommy though as she takes hold aloft

She's got to dry it up first thing as gently as she can

and then she moves again across the newly freshened land.

Nice meeting you- I gotta go- it's time to leave the sky

The stars they need their twinkle time...arrivaderci-bye.
